CUSCO (PERU), 2009. In Cusco, children with special needs from across the spectrum do not have access to the same social and education support services that are available in other countries. They consequently have little opportunity to have fulfilling lives if not lives where they can contribute as productive members of their community. Manos Unidas ("Hands Together") is a Cusco-based organisation co-founded US expat, Celeste Marion, to tackle these social and educational issues. CAMINO NUEVO ("New Way") is managed by Manos Unidas and is the first and only privately run school for children with special needs in Cusco.
