About

You cannot capture a person’s entire life in two hours. All you can hope is to leave the impression of one.
— Herman J Mankiewicz (adapted)

Though Mankiewicz - screenwriter for Citizen Kane - was referring to films, his sentiment resonates.

Each long-form photographic story I produce is an empathy-driven impression with the highest fidelity I can attain to the people I photograph, the lives they live, the challenges they negotiate and how they think and feel about it all.

I achieve this using a listening-based and collaboratively-driven approach, in the spirit of process-driven journalism. The people I photograph and I walk together to tell their story.

The goal: to make people feel heard.

“Success”, as I define it, is derived from the people I photograph feeling heard through the stories I produce.
